Resin Embellishments Top the Layer Cake! World Cardmaking Day Bloghop with Operation Write Home

Amazing Crafting Products is proud to be participating in this bloghop - thanks for stopping by. Please join us in creating "THANK YOU" cards for our men and women serving in the armed forces today  with Operation Write Home for World Cardmaking Day.

Scraps of patterned papers are the base of this card using OWH Sketch #98;
the sentiment is created from EK Success word stickers brushed with gold ink.

The flower on this card is a stamped, fussy cut large doily stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps!, layered and topped off with a vintage knob molded in Amazing Mold Putty and cast using Amazing Casting Resin. This is the same vintage floral knob that I also created a ring with. CLICK HERE to see how this knob was created.

The resin cast knob looks like a flower and makes a perfect center... it's thin and with a little pink and gold ink - it adds that perfect amount of "POP" to top off this layered flower.

  1. I think Celtic-style embellishments would look awesome with your dimensional product--the intertwining knots and designs would be beautifully emphasized in 3D.

  13. Very interesting effect and the pink and gold are really nice together. I'm not sure what I'd mold but I too love finding new ways to embellish my cards while keeping them mailable so something like you've done is probably what I'd try first. Thanks for joining in the hop and supporting OWH.

  16. A couple of months ago I bought a container of Amazing Mold Putty & Clear Cast Resin - I was concerned that I wouldn't mold enough to use all of the putty - I asked Susan (the cake topper artist) if there was a smaller size and she told me she was POSITIVE I'd use all the putty - well, she was right - I have a little left that I am saving in case of emergency before I can order more. So, what would I mold? Everything in the box that I didn't get to mold the first time! I have more charms, buttons, gems, pendants and rubber stamps (and SO much more!) that I pulled out when I first got the putty. Now that I have the learning curve pretty well figured out, I want to mold everything!! StampinDiva at yahoo dot com
