Naturally Inspired by Fall... AMAZING Inspiration
by Tracy Alden

Hello! Tracy here again with another inspiration post! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year with the trees and plants visibly changing, getting ready for Winter. The warm earth tones and texture of trees always catches my eye. With the help of Amazing Mold Putty I was able to capture their detail for arts and crafts!

I started with pressing Amazing Mold Putty in small patches across sections of tree bark I found interesting. With my first try I pushed the mold putty too firmly into the cracks making it difficult to remove the cured molds. So on my second try I pushed in the mold putty just enough to get detail but not so hard that it gets stuck in the bark. Once cured, I had beautifully detailed impressions!

First I tried inking the impressions, using them as stamps. The images they created were beautiful and I could easily use these with embossing adhesive and powders to create lovely textures.

Next I put a bark mold piece through a pasta machine with polymer clay on the highest setting. The polymer clay was stretched in the process making a perfect wood grain impression. Using my finger I carefully rubbed on Alumilite Metallic Powder on the uncured clay, highlighting the embossed details.

Using a small amount of Amazing Mold Putty, I applied a lip all the way around one of the bark molds so I could create a mold to pour Amazing Casting Resin in. By brushing the mold with Alumilite Metallic Powder before pouring the Amazing Casting Resin I was able to duplicate the look of bark!

I have stamps, texture plates and molds just from using Amazing Mold Putty on a textured surface! Now my mind is a whirl with what other surfaces I might mold!

What AMAZING arts and crafts can you create???

Please share them on the NEW user GALLERY on the Amazing Mold Putty Website!
