Traveling Under the Sea for #Cre8time... AMAZING Inspiration by Susan M. Brown {sbartist}

Hello Amazing Crafters! July has flown by like a weekend... right??! I can't believe its coming up on a year since we launched Amazing Mold Rubber... and not to worry - there are some new things coming to Amazing Crafting Products this month. Make sure you are subscribed and STAY TUNED!!

I just wanted to share the finished results of my new set of super summery silicone molds that I shared on Mold Rubber Monday feature a couple weeks back {CLICK HERE to jump over if you missed it}.

I always plan to play along with the monthly T!m Holtz' 12 Tags of 2014, but sometimes life and other creative projects take precedent. The July tag was summer themed and bits a pieces of this project took me most of the month to MAKE and complete... and I am so thrilled with the results!!!

Since I have molded the other sea life, I am presently on the hunt for a large preserved seahorse to mold/cast in Amazing Crafting Products – so meanwhile, I decided to DIY my seahorse. Please click here to jump over to my blog to read about this process.

I love using shells in my projects - EXCEPT - they are brittle, fragile and sometimes smelly. As you can see above in the inspiration tag, the starfish and sand dollar are perfect companions to the seahorse... and mine are resin reincarnations of the real thing that I can make over and over again.  Molding and casting them with Amazing Crafting Products is the perfect solution for making a replica that is identical to the real thing that is durable and customizable.

I also created my own texture stamp and embossing platform for my recycled film {imagesetter acetate} layered in the background. To view how I created the starfish, sand dollar and texture plate please CLICK HERE to jump over to watch my Mold Rubber Monday project. It is truly AMAZING!

This was a lot of work for the end result! This is going to get a proper shadow box home that I will hang on the wall in my studio... perhaps in a recycled cigar box.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit! August is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month here at Amazing Crafting Products – I promise you don't want to miss what our AMAZING Creatives have in store for you.
