#Cre8time Transformations... From This to That by Aimée Wheaton

I LOVE playing with resin when I have the time!! I look for random things to mold in the oddest places. One day I finally got into an antique store I had been trying to get to (odd hours) and I found some old looking curtain ties. These are HUGE, they probably came out of a super fancy home with lots of long curtains. Well the owner gave me the one in the photo on the left because it was chipped,

I thought it was perfect to mold but didn't know what to turn it into because it's so large. The flower in the middle was fab and I thought it would make a great hair clip. So that is what it turned into.

I molded the inside flower part by mixing equal parts of Amazing Mold Putty and forming it around the flower. The mold hardens in about 15 minutes and I'm ready to go! Follow my process below.

Next I grabbed some Q-tips and my favorite Alumidust
colors to paint the mold when it was ready.

I used 2 colors. I made sure all the nooks and crannies were covered
in dust – when the resin cures this will adhere to the resin.

Now time for the resin. I mixed equal parts of Amazing Casting Resin and mixed together {to view mixing/preparation CLICK HERE}. This resin cures very fast so it makes crafting quick and easy with a fabulous turnout! I colored the mold with the powders because if I didn't, the resin would be only white.

I poured the resin in, then let it cure.
I think this took about 7 minutes to complete.

I took it out of the mold and trimmed or sanded the edges
a bit that had extra resin – look how pretty!!

Next I embellished with StazOn ink just to bring out some details.

Then I painted on a bit of gold acrylic to make it even more dreamy.

I knew I wanted to embellish it even more and found this super cool trim at the store. I didn't end up using my E6000® glue it was dried up :(  so I used my hot glue gun.

I added a hair clip and felt discs to finish it off.
The back is not so pretty but it works.

I glued on some AB finish rhinestones
on the flower part for even more bling!

Look how pretty it turned out!

What's the craziest thing
you've ever molded?

#Cre8time to Light Up the Night... by Lara Hjorthoy #FlowerPower

Good Morning Artists! With the weather up here in Canada proving to be remarkably warm for May, Hubbs and I have been fixing up the deck for summer use! I noticed our patio was a bit dark and dreary at night and wanted to create some outdoor decor that would also work as mood lighting!

Since May is Flowers as inspiration – I made flowers! Using the Amazing Mold Putty allowed me to make this a quick and easy process, and Alumilite Metallic Powders in Bronze and Silver added a tarnished bronze metallic shine.

Glow in the dark powder mixed in with Amazing Casting Resin
produced a strong glow for the middles!

Who knew it could be so easy to make outdoor lighting for your deck!

What would you make for your deck?

A #Cre8time Twinset Blooms... AMAZING Inspiration from Susan M. Brown {sbartist} #FlowerPower

Hello Amazing Crafters! Susan here with some floral inspiration born from some old rusty drawer pulls. Throughout the year there are several events, birthdays and family gatherings – for many I use my Cre8time to make special gifts and handmade cards.

Today's project features a vintage drawer pull that I've molded using Amazing Mold Putty, then cast in Amazing Casting Resin to use as a flat embellishment and also a ring by pairing with another resin casting from an Amazing Mold Rubber ring mold.

Creating jewelry and embellishments are quick and easy using Amazing Crafting Products! A little stamping and color blocking with paper scraps come together quickly for a nice card, topped with the matching resin drawer pull as the flower center adds a nice POP of dimension. CLICK HERE to see more details on how this floral ring was created.

A perfect matching set... and a quick and easy
Thank You gift is ready to go!

My floral card gives a sneak peek of the coordinating
gift that will accompany it... a lovely matching ring!

#Cre8time Arting from Nature... Flowers with Rocks or Resin by Brenda Burfeind

Good day friends! Brenda here from Creativity is a State of Mind with a fun Pinterest redux. Now I love searching Pinterest and finding things to make. My only thing is that I don't make it exactly the way I see it – I love putting a twist on things. SO let's get started!

This was my inspiration for this project. I absolutely love these,
but I love to add my own take on the things I make.

Side 1 of my rock that I found.

Side 2 – I loved all the texture it had!

I created a mold using my Amazing Mold Putty and you can see how to prepare your putty for molding HERE. I mixed the Amazing Casting Resin with Alumilite Violet Dye for both rocks. You can view mixing instructions for resin HERE. Each resin piece took about 10 minutes to set up.

Another great thing is that my new resin rocks are light as can be!

I needed a center, so I dug through my box of odds and ends of resin pieces and found this that I had molded awhile back {CLICK HERE to see that project}.

I just cut the necklace part off with my craft knife – I also love that it has texture.

Then I painted it with some green and purple acrylic paint.

While I was making my resin rocks, I worked on my board. This is 100 year old barnwood and it's so gorgeous! I stained and varnished it.

I went into my back yard and found some twigs to use for floral stems.

When all my faux rocks were made I laid
everything out on my board for placement.

I did use some Rub 'n Buff® to bring out the texture of my purple flower, and used the same green acrylic paint to highlight my "stem". Then I glued everything down with E6000®. I also glued some acrylic beads to the center.

So, what do you think? I'm so thrilled with how this turned out.
I cannot wait to hang it on my deck!

What would you mold to create
your very own flower plaque?

Thank you for stopping by and make sure
to check out all the other designers' projects.

Until next time, Brenda!

These delicate resin book page roses look Victorian
on just about anything you put them on!

Take books pages and coat with Amazing Clear Cast Resin.
Let cure. I love using dictionary pages.

Cut flower shapes out by hand or by using a die.
I also used these shapes to also create these resin roses.

Find something awesome to embellish. I picked up
this necklace remnant on a discount aisle.

What will you embellish with
AMAZING resin paper roses?

Molded Lace Makes a Wearable Statement...
by Isabel Villarreal

Everyone loves statement jewelry and this necklace made from molded lace definitely makes a statement! Lately I've been seeing accessories made from lace and I decided to try my hand at creating something for myself. I originally tried to use a lace piece for my necklace but it was a little too droopy so I figured I would mold it and cast it. This started out as an experiment but the results were so amazing I had to share! Follow along to see how to make a stunning statement piece for yourself.

I started with a nice lace piece that I trimmed down until I was satisfied with the shape. I mixed up some Amazing Mold Putty and using a rolling pin, I flattened the putty to fit the size of the lace and then rolled the lace piece into the putty face down. CLICK HERE to view mixing/preparation.

The resulting mold is very shallow, but this way the final piece will be thin and light enough to wear comfortably. I got a great impression from the lace with some really great detail.

The next step was to add some color with Alumidust pigment powders. I used some small brushes to coat the mold using a variety of colors to bring out the intricate design and leaving some areas with no pignment so that they would be clear.

To fill the mold I mixed a batch of Amazing Clear Cast Resin {CLICK HERE to view mixing/preparation}. I filled the mold very carefully to try to avoid any over spill since the mold is so shallow. While the resin was still wet I sprinkled iridescent glitter along the entire surface.

The resin was pretty thin and being that I live in South Florida, the temperature was pretty nice so it was dry to the touch in about 8 hours. I carefully released it from the mold while it was still a little soft so that I could trim away any unwanted areas and smooth out the edges.

The resin piece was beautiful on its own. The original lace piece has sequins and embroidered edges and you can see that the resin piece picked up all of the beautiful details perfectly!

These pictures show the back of the piece, which I covered in glitter and the front of the piece to show the results. It has sort of a watercolor feel that works well with the floral theme.

The front of the piece has color but if you look you can see the way the glitter shows through the color to give it dimension.

To finish the piece I coated it with a super thin layer of Amazing Clear Cast Resin to smooth out the surface and added some crystals to bring out the details. Once the crystals were set I used my Crop-A-Dile to make a couple of holes in the resin in just the right place so it would hang at an angle from around my neck and used sterling jump rings to hang it from a fine Silver chain.

How will you make a statement

I'd love to see what you create! Please upload and share your creations to the
