Cardmaking and #Cre8time in the Rose Garden... by Bridget Cordero

Greetings! Today we welcome our new AMAZING Creative, Bridget Cordero who is sharing a video tutorial of how she made this card with gorgeous lace-like dimensional embellishments cast in Amazing Casting Resin.

• • • • • • • • •

I have a big passion for paper crafting and when asked to be on this design team, I knew I wanted to create things that others would love to create. I created this beautiful card and added a few embellishments using Amazing Casting Resin.

I found these icing molds on Amazon, some look like doilies and the other like lace. I knew I wanted to use the lace one on my card. The heart shaped one was an added bonus. :)

Once I poured the resin into the mold, I used the popsicle stick to level out the resin. Once it cured I peeled it out of the mold.

The resin is amazing... look at the detail in the results.
It came out smooth and sleek.

If you are having trouble viewing video, please CLICK HERE.

I'm so in love with the results! I've included this YouTube video
to show more detail of my project. Enjoy!

What kind of embellishments do you
create for your handmade cards?

Punches... Meet Resin and Lace! AMAZING Lace Heart Pendant by Brenda Burfeind

Brenda here again to show you a quick tutorial making an Amazing Lace Heart Pendant. I know, I've been doing nothing but jewelry lately, but I just love making my own! With the Amazing Crafting Products there is no end in sight. LOL!

A couple of weeks ago I showed you how to make your own resin paper and how to turn ribbon into a bracelet. (Click on the links above to see how it's done); and then today I am going to show you how to turn that lace into a Lace Heart Pendant.

I started by making my lace stiff using the steps in the above links. I was able to punch the ribbon using a simple circle punch and by folding that circle in half, I then was able to cut out a heart shape (using ordinary scissors) a bit smaller than my heart mold that I made using the Amazing Mold Putty. The reason I made my lace stiff was so that when I placed it into my mold it would not curl up (and also so that I could punch or cut it without fraying). Thus killing two birds with one stone.

I added a little bit of the Amazing Clear Cast Resin to the mold first and let it set up for a few minutes, making sure there where no air bubbles. I wanted the pendant to be see through so that the "lace can be seen from both sides and the clear cast is perfect for this pendant. Then laying the "lace heart" inside the mold and covering it with more Amazing Clear Cast Resin.

Now the waiting time begins... it usually cures in about 24 hours, but you have to adjust your time because of temperature sometimes.

After it has cured I added another tiny layer of the Amazing Clear Cast Resin to make it shine and viola, another jewelry piece has been created.

I just love the look of "clear glass".

I hope you liked my pendant this time around. I just love experimenting and again, there is no limit of what you can do using these Amazing Crafting Products.

How would you use your "RESINed" lace?

Altering Embellishments for a Perfect Match... AMAZING Inspiration from Maria Soto

Hi, this is Maria Soto with an inspiration post for you today. Amazing Mold Putty is convenient and easy to use – so I like to mold and cast different items, just to have on hand. I'm currently moving my craft rooms into just one room – bigger and better. As I was sorting materials I found projects I had started but never really finished. I found this cute papier-mâché box that I had painted in red acrylic and covered the lid with polymer clay.

Well I figure it just had to be finished, and would make a perfect addition to my gift for my Secret Santa. Once I did some more painting on the box, I found the right embellishment among all my resin casts. A blue resin cameo, dry brushed some different colors, a bit of glitter, some lace and flowers... well once all were glued on the box lid, I was done.

Above is the casting of the cameo from when I made it –

Here is a photo of the box, it's a three piece, as you can see there is an insert on the lid – so you can add photos/images and change them whenever you want.

Here is a close up of the cameo showing the gold/silver paints I used and the glitter. I love the emerald crystals. Underneath the cameo I glued a piece of lace. Then after adding the cameo, I thought a few tiny flowers would make a perfect addition and bring in more color to the box.

I can't wait to finish organizing my new craft room so I can go ahead and finish all these projects I started some time ago. I have created so many embellishments is just a matter of matching the right embellishment to complete each project.

Working with Amazing Crafting Products has been fun, creative and made crafting so much easier. I hope I have inspired you to give these products a try – trust me you will find yourself casting just about anything you see and altering items to match what ever project you feel like creating.

Multi-Dimensional Shabby Chic Heart Collage...
by Guest Designer Jess B.

Hello Everyone - Jess B. here and once again I have been honored to show you what fun possibilities lay upon your visions. I was a the end of my Amazing Casting Resin and wanted to go another route of design. For today's project, I was inspired by loads of mixed media videos on YouTube.

What would happen if I were to ink
and stamp images in my mold and then pour
the Amazing Casting Resin on top???

This project is all experimentation - and I'm very happy with the results.

Using Amazing Mold Putty, I mixed equal parts "A" and parts "B" thoroughly according to the instructions, then pressed in my flowers to create a mold. For HOW-TO of mixing Amazing Mold Putty, please CLICK HERE. This mold was cured and ready to go in about 15 minutes.

For my heart shape, I used a mini cake silicone pan I bought at TJ Max. I used a few drops of Alumilite Dye Black on a clear stamp from Teresa Collins Every Day Moments stamp collection. Place ink and stamp on a wax sheet of paper or paint brush. **PLEASE NOTE** You don't want to use this cakeform for food after putting resin products in it.

Next, I prepared and mixed up a batch of Amazing Casting Resin according to the easy-to-follow instructions. I poured the resin into the cake pan on top of the stamped flowers. For full instructions on mixing Amazing Casting Resin, please CLICK HERE. The resin also cures in about 15 minutes...

Would the stamped images blend or stay in its place??? Well the images DID stay in place... but the dye was still a bit wet, so I decided to use the metallic powders to see if they would stick. With a brush I dusted the flower images and it stayed... and the results are Amazing! I'm loving it. I also used yellow dye to fill in the flower petals which gave it it's depth and dimension.

I also brushed on Alumilite Gold Metallic Powder to the edges of all the 3D flowers. The metallic powders can also be added to the resin while in liquid state.

You can see the stamped images and the detail of the gold edging {which I love}. I added buttons, sequins and vintage lace to complete the heart. I love the gold highlights on the stamped impressions.

I hope this has inspired you to create your shabby chic art using Amazing Crafting Products. I would love to hear what you have dreamt up - please leave a comment and your link below! To see more of my work, please CLICK HERE to visit my blog "thatzuneek".

All Hallow's Eve Mail

I love Vintage lace.
I love Amazing Mold Putty.
I love Creative Paperclay.
So this month, I decided to create something using those three things.
I made a texture plate for two projects. One of them is a Halloween card I made! To start, I mixed equal parts A and B Amazing Mold Putty and rolled it out into a uniformly thin piece. Then I pressed some of my favorite vintage lace into it. I left the lace in the putty until it was cured.

Once the mold was set, I removed the lace. Be sure you use lace you don't plan to use again, because small bits of the mold remain in the lace when you pull it out of a set mold.
Once my mold was ready, rolled Creative Paperclay onto butcher paper very thinly.
By putting the clay onto butcher paper, I can roll it much thinner than I could simply rolling it onto a counter. Then I can let the clay dry on the paper, and peel it off once the clay is dry. Once I had it rolled out, pressed my texture plate into the clay, and then used a cup to "cut" the clay into a circle.
Once that was dry, I painted the circle in the color I wanted my "lace" to be. I let that coat dry. Then I brought out the texture of the piece using a darker stain, and wiping that off of the piece, leaving the stain in the crevices of the texture and bringing out the lace effect.
Here's the final project!! Happy Halloween mail!! The paperclay piece is thin enough to go through the mail, and light enough to keep mailing costs low!!

As I mentioned, I have created two projects using the texture plate I made to show you here!! The other project will be ready in time for the Paperclay and Mold Putty Design teams blog hop coming up Sept. 29th!! I also put my new DOORPLATE to use!!
Be sure to share any projects you make using ideas like this on the Amazing Mold Putty® Facebook Page!!

This is my last post for the team here!! I have had such an Amazing time!! (C'mon... you can't possible think I'd pass up THAT chance to use the pun...) I can't say enough about Amazing Mold Putty. It has honestly become part of my art arsenal now. I can't imagine creating without it anymore. I hope you stay in touch with me at "my house"!! I have some new creative endeavors coming up... teaching on line art and such.
