Gone Fishing with Amazing Mold Putty

I have had so much fun on this design team and am sorry to see my term ending, but I know I'll be seeing beautiful projects from the upcoming DT.

For my last project I molded one of my favorite pins and used it as a charm on this card. The Alumilite Bronze Powder helped me make it look metallic and one of a kind. The KaiserCraft paper was a perfect blend with my charm.

Amazing Frame with Amazing Mold Putty

I love all those fancy little frames you see in boutiques, but I don't love their price tags.  Now I have a solution where you can make all the fancy frames you want.  I molded one of my frames and now I have a mold to make multiple frames for gifts and myself.

I coated the inside of my mold with some of Amazing Mold Putty's pearl and gold metallic dust and then painted the pink portion with some pink fairy dust.  The I just poured the casting resin and let it set for about 10 minutes...it really was ready before that but I wanted to be sure it was set since it was a large casting.

I finished off the frame with some pearl bling to give that extra little touch and also cut a picture of my sweet sister.  All finished and I love the final result.

See you soon

Just Fly

Happy 2012 everyone.  Today I created a 12 x 12 layout for you reflecting my resolution for 2012...to live.  To be the best I can be, be happy and be me.  I was able to create the beautiful vintage style buckle that I think is a highlight to my page ...all with Amazing Mold Putty.

Once I was ready to pour my buckle I used just a toothpick dab of the caucasian dye to give it the vintage pink tone.

Once it was dried overnight I ran it through my ribbon as a great scrapbook adornment.

The butterflies were fussy cut from paper and then covered with Sakura to give them a more finished look.

I hope you have a blessed 2012 and remember to LIVE LIFE TO IT"S FULLEST!!

Yes Even Food!!!

Did you know that you could use Amazing Mold Putty for food molds?   You sure can!  Today I created a butter mold.  With the holidays upon us dinner parties are all around and a great detail to your festivities are individual molded pats of butter.

The first step is to make your mold.  You want to be sure to use something that isn't so detail and will be about the right size for an individual butter pat.  I found this great snowflake on the end of a tea ball.  You could use something like a bell, fancy shaped ornament, or anything else your heart desires.

Once your mold has set up your ready to add your butter.  You can set your butter out on the counter an hour or so before your ready to use, or if you like me and are ready to do it ....NOW!!!! just microwave your stick of butter for 10 seconds.  Not to long you don't want to melt it just soften.  Fill  the mold with the soft butter and be sure to push it into all the detail work.  Pop it in the freezer to set up.

After 20-30 minutes it will be ready to pop out.  You can make several molds to do numerous ones at first or if you have time to do one by one, you can store the butter in a tupperware dish lined with wax paper.  Now the hard part is making the homemade bread to go with the butter, LOL.

Have a happy holiday season.

Molded Charms

Hi Everyone, it's Lori and I'm super excited to share with you an easy tutorial on creating 3-D charms for your cards, layouts or anything.  Let's jump right in.

I found a button that had a great design to it, but I wasn't wild about the colors...no problem let's just mold it.  Remember just mix equal parts of the putty and you'll have a mold in no time.

Once the putty was mixed up and ready use I pushed the button down into the AMAZING MOLD PUTTY and left it to set up.

I used Paperclay molding material for my charms...and it works great with the molds.  I just formed a ball and pressed down into the mold, let it set for a bit and then removed from the mold to dry the rest
of the way.

I sprayed the finished charms with Glimmer Mist and then highlighted with some smooch for the finished result and then added to my card....how easy was that, Plus I have the mold to make more of these adorable charms in the future.

I hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial and we'd love to see what beautiful creations you can come up with...THE SKIES THE LIMIT.

Hugs,
