#Cre8time Feeling "Fancy"... Inspiration Jewelry by Aimée Wheaton

Hi all! Aimée here with a new necklace design that will hopefully inspire you to jump in to working with all of the Amazing Casting Products this year! I haven't made resin jewelry in quite some time and when Susan asked me to create a piece I got excited! I've been in design/redecorate/reorganize mode lately at home and have just created a new studio space for myself so projects will be much easier for me to create. This is the first piece I created in my studio and it excites and inspires me to make a bunch more!!

I love creating with vintage photos, I collect them and use them in various projects. I just received a goodie box with a bunch of new Amazing Casting Products and I was super excited about using the colored Alumidust powders! I chose the Bright Blue one for this project, the colors are so vibrant! The bezel was given to me when I joined the team and it's by the Bottle Cap Co. I brushed the dust on the bezel for some extra zing.

Most of this piece came from a stash I have of found objects, the ideas are endless with a box of junk! this is what I came up with using various things like handmade paper from my Gelli Plate, beads, glitter and more. Not sure if this is a girl or boy LOL!

Add Amazing Clear Cast Resin and then create the necklace to accompany the pendant!

I really LOVE how the resin sharpens things up!

Wear it out and get many compliments on your "Fancy" necklace!!

Let's see what you can create
with your stash of junk box items,
and beads!!

Feel free to stop by my FB page to see the latest with me.

WHAT - Empty Bezels!!? Create Custom Resin Cabochons... AMAZING Inspiration from Carole Lassak

Hi!! Carole here to report about my rearranging/cleaning of my craft supplies the other day. I came across a handful of bezels left over from a long-ago project. I just couldn't bear to put them in the discard pile. (Truth be told, I never did get a discard pile. Can you spell h-o-a-r-d-e-r?) So, I decided I'd put cabochons in them and have great jewelry pieces.

Great idea, except that I didn't have any cabs the right size. Not a problem!! I found a marble with the right diameter and molded the bottom third of it. I followed these standard directions for creating a mold using Amazing Mold Putty and pouring the Amazing Casting Resin.

Next comes the fun part. Staining the resin cabochon with alcohol inks.
Yes, it really is a round cabochon—not just a flat disc of resin.

My handmade cabochon was a perfect fit for my bezel. I secured the cab in the bezel with a bit of E-6000 adhesive. The encircling melon-colored rhinestone chain is held in place with dabs of E-6000, too.

Can't wait to make more of these resin cabochons. The Amazing Crafting Products make them so easy to produce, and the alcohol inks make each one unique.

What would you mold and cast to fill your bezels?

An AMAZING and Inspiring Chunky Bauble...
{A Charming Necklace by DeeDee Catron}

Hi everyone - DeeDee here today! Sharing an inspiration post with you!

{Click photo to see larger!}

I really love this piece because it's chunky, it's heavy, it makes a statement, it uses old found objects (yay for recycling) and it's STURDY! I knew I wanted the delicate feel of a light bulb, but I was nervous about it being too dainty and breaking. So I molded my bulb and cast it in Amazing Clear Cast Resin being sure to leave it for 24 hours, the recommended cure time. After de-molding I had a nice thick resin bulb that needed a final touch... so I embossed the back half of the bulb with a high metallic embossing powder giving it the illusion of having a metal connection area. For the back of the necklace  – holding onto that found rusty old piece of metal for quite some time and was ready to let it go! I punched a few holes in it, set some eyelets, and wound a piece of wire around my light bulb through two of the holes. Before securing everything down I strung a couple of pearls for some color! Easy Peasy right??

Thanks for stopping by today!
