Hi Folks!! DeeDee here today for your MOLD RUBBER MONDAY!
I slightly touched on this idea/technique in an inspiration post a while back and after consideration decided it'd make a great LARGER piece with instructional video!
So today I've got a "Molded Cauliflower" technique for you to see. Here's a video showcasing the prep, mold, and casting of Cauliflower bits that I use as clouds on a 3 piece canvas. Gather your brand new Amazing Mold Rubber, measuring cups, stir sticks and Amazing Casting Resin and get to watching :
I used these beautiful resin clouds on a canvas set for our living room --
sort of a final homage to the turning seasons.
The canvas is full of inks, mists and paints (Tattered Angels Glimmer and Glaze, Ranger Distress Stain and Ink, Ranger Archival, Gesso, Sakura of America Micron), UmWowStudio products (Circle confetti mask, Light bulb and ray mask, Sunflower chip, Daisy chip, Swallow chip, Bird in grass chip, Bee Flair), Viva Las VegaStamps! (Moon Circle, Writing Background, Coffee Stain, Line of Chevrons), Prima (Leaves and Gray rose), Gauche Alchemy (Washi Tape), and some other random bits like seed beads, eBeads, glitter, twine and adhesive.
I sincerely adore the DEPTH these babies have!
Have you thought about molding food or finding inspiration in other non conventional items?? What might you mold and turn into something else? IE Cauliflower into clouds? With the new Mold Rubber you can be as creative as you want!

This is incredible! I like the way the chipboard seems to be both negative and positive space. This is what Escher would do if he'd worked in chipboard and ink sprays!
